Ecoswitch program for businesses

Through the Ecoswitch program, LESS supplied businesses and organizations with free energy-saving and water-saving products to replace standard incandescent bulbs and non-efficient showerheads in their properties.
More than 440 businesses made the ‘Ecoswitch’ since the program was launched in early 2007, enabling them to save money on energy and water bills as well as reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
Businesses in NSW and ACT have collectively installed more than 100,000 CFL globes and 2,000 showerheads.
This is a collective saving of:
• $6.7 million dollars on energy bills and $200,000 off utility bills ($100 saving per
showerhead, per year).
• Nearly 80,000 tonnes of greenhouse gases from entering the atmosphere –
equivalent to taking over 1,850 cars off the road forever.
